Mid Century Laurel Floor Lamp
Description
This ultra-rare brutalist-style lamp was produced in the 60’s and 70’s by the Laurel Lamp Company. It features fused iron and copper, and is one of the most iconic pieces of Mid-Century lighting. Starting at the top, it swoops down elegantly into a tulip-style base that resembles the piercing skyscrapers of the era. From the factory they are meant to have an aged patina look. This example definitely has the clearest copper streaks that I could find in comparison to the ones being sold online. Everything is in working order and it still utilizes the original cord. The lamp is in amazing vintage condition. It measures about 45 inches to the top of the socket. While the lamp shade is not original, the pattern and color of the material compliment the lamp very well. Cash only please. Local delivery possible.
