
Vintage Ink Blotters: Pair National Electric Company Portland Oregon
Description
Pair of antique / vintage ink blotters for fountain pens from National Electric Co which was part of 1920's Oregon Electrical Contractors which later became part of IBEW. National Electric Co was located at 1632 NW Thurman St. at 17th in Portland Oregon. It has been in use as restaurants Olympia Provisions and Carlyle both of which are closed now. The front of the card feels waxed and features "Light for Advertising" with a picture of a search light mounted on a trailer. It also features phone number of BE7229 and A.S. Halls Mgr. Side verbiage shows "Rental-Complete Light Equipment for Advertising Displays, Special Purposes, Searchlights, Spotlight, Floodlights, etc. Also Contracting -Light, Power and Telephone Installations. Service and Repairs Sales - Syntron Company - Electric Power Tools, Hammers, Drills, Saws, Hisey-Wold Machine Co. - Electric Tools, Lamps - Supplies" Back of both has standard blue blotter paper with one of the blotters showing last use. Fun pieces of Portland Oregon history. In excellent condition for age of pieces. Selling both blotters together for $60 or one blotter for $35.
