Clavia Nord Wave I Virtual Analog Synthesizer

$1,350.00
Musical InstrumentsPortland, OR

Description

Happy to negotiate and get someone a good deal on this synth. I’m listing it around $100 below average used sale values on reverb, but I’m happy to consider offers and knock the price down further for seriously interested buyers. Awesome offering from Nord which combines traditional subtractive synth architecture with the ability to use your own user samples as the second oscillator, combine that with the traditional analog or FM waveforms, or factory samples available in oscillator #1, and mangle that through the virtual analog engine, multimode filter, etc. The synth is 2-part multitimbral, has 180 MB flash storage for user samples (and there is an accompanying software sample editor for editing and saving samples and loading them onto the keyboard), 1024 patches (8 banks of 128) made up of part A and part B, and all slots can be overwritten, so there’s tons of storage and room for experimentation on this thing. It’s got all of the traditional features of a Nord, wood pitch bender, skinnny mod wheel, hands on confrol for all parameters, parameter morphing with three sources (note, velocity, and mod wheel), so you can assign ranges of almost all controls to be modulated by any of those three things, on-board effects consisting of 6-mode reverb, tap tempo delay and “tube amp” which is overdrive/distortion. Oscillators each hsve square/saw/triangle waves, FM, and sample-based options - in osc 1 the samples are preset by Nord, in osc 2 the samples are user defined. 6-mode filter with low pass, high pass, band pass, comb, multi, and formant/vocal modes. Two independent LFO’s, two ADSR’s, and a modulation envelope, and a few other things I’m forgetting make it a super tweakable and fun synth. Great sounding synthesizer, comes in a soft padded case (not pictured).
