Beautiful looking Olympic white with mint green. Plays great, looks flawless. Extra wide fretboard. Has a special ability! A preamp (9v) that has 6 settings (push volume button in center). More on that below. The S-1 switch built into the volume knob of the Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster bypasses the preamp. When not in use, the S-1 switch doesn’t affect standard Stratocaster wiring, which is: * Position one: bridge pickup only * Position two: bridge and middle pickups wired in parallel * Position three: middle pickup only * Position four: middle and neck pickups wired in parallel * Position five: neck pickup only The S-1 switch offers five additional pickup wiring options when engaged: * Position one: all three pickups wired in series * Position two: bridge and middle pickups wired in series * Position three: middle and neck pickups wired in series * Position four: bridge and neck pickups wired out of phase, with a special tone capacitor * Position five: bridge and middle pickups wired in series and out of phase, in parallel with neck pickup Activating the Fender S1 switch on the vol pot gives you a 6-position click selector on the first "tone" pot, increasing the amount of added mids per pre-set position. You can bypass the mid-boost by pushing the S1 Switch in or pop it up to choose to engage it. The second tone pot is the master tone control. Great gigging guitar that for me, eliminates the need to switch guitars mid-set. Amazing value from Fender, and even bigger value used and in good condition. My guitar tech said the 6 position tone control knob changes between 6 preset tones based on these guitar player’s tones: 1. true bypass 2. I FORGOT With treble bleed 3. Jimi Hendrix 4.
